Sequoia Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union, chartered in 1954, is a member-owned, not-for-profit organization whose objective is to meet the financial needs of our members through professional, courteous service with a personal touch. Membership Eligibility

Our field of membership includes all employees of Sequoia Hospital and Catholic Healthcare West. Once you have joined the credit union, all immediate family members are also eligible.

In these uncertain times, everybody is looking for some peace of mind regarding their funds on deposit with any financial institution. Sequoia Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union would like to share some information with you to give you just that: peace of mind.

Your funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration, commonly referred to as the NCUA. The NCUA is federal government agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). Backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, NCUSIF insures the accounts of millions of account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.

Share insurance coverage, offered through the NCUSIF, protects members against losses if a federally insured credit union should fail. However; failures of federally insured credit unions are rare because only those with sound operational standards qualify to receive NCUSIF coverage. You can confidently join and conduct business with federally insured credit unions because not one penny of savings has ever been lost by a member of a federally insured credit union.
